A computer is all you need

Image
Since I was a little kid, I knew that the best thing that happened to me was my notebook. The first one I had was a big, really big computer. In those times the internet wasn't a thing in my house, but I use it anyways, to do anything. But, since I can remember, I always loved Windows over Apple, and I always liked Toshibas. I got a lot of reasons of why I prefer those computers, but the most important thing is that it's very comfortable.  My actual notebook, a Toshiba, it's white and a Skullcandy. My grandmother bought it to me. I use it to write, study, or just to play videogames. I can do a lot of things with it, like writing this words. I algo got a lot of movies in my computer and, usually, I prefer to see them over here than in movie theaters. I think that in a few years I would like a new one, with more options. But I still love my actual one.

The pure instinct of a journalist

There could be a lot of reasons of why I choose journalism as a career. But, a few years ago, I was sure I was going to study sociology. When I was young, a little child, or a person that had other conceptions of life, I thought I wanted to be a lawyer, but I couldn’t comprehend what that means. Therefore, I starPted to read a lot of non-fiction books, most of them, from sociologists like Weber or Marx. At the end, I decided journalism for pure instinct. I really like the University of Chile, the teachers and students. My dream is to write literature, or to work in La Tercera , in the section called Culto . I would like to study something about Hispanic Literature, or something linked to sociology, like writing a book, or something like that.

The person that I think I am

I was born the 1th of february, on a sunny Tuesday in the neighborhood of Puente Alto, in the south of Santiago. I grow over there, but I moved to Ñuñoa years later, a few minutes away from my university: the Universidad de Chile. I study journalism, but I was between Sociology or Literature, because I love to read. My favorite writer is Roberto Bolaño, from Chile, but I also like Albert Camus, from France. My favorite book is The outsider and 2666, one the best novels ever written by a South American. The best movie I’ve ever seen was Donnie Darko and Winter, but not because I enjoyed the movie, but because it is from one of my favorite Chilean writers: Alberto Fuguet. I really like pizza, spaghetti or lasagna. Mostly, Mediterranean food. Always with the company of a good wine.
